On the last Thursday of every month, we gather for our We Care Dinner. These dinners are open to everyone and provide a wonderful opportunity for fellowship and community. There are also many ways to serve, including helping with cooking, serving meals, and cleanup. For more information or to volunteer, please see Weeze Parker.

Each year, we participate in the Mountain to Mountain Campaign, an outreach ministry that supports students in Haiti. Through this campaign, parishioners are invited to sponsor a student, helping provide the resources needed for their education.

We are always collecting postage stamps for the Good News Prison & Jail Ministry. These stamps are distributed to local prisons and jails, allowing incarcerated individuals to send letters to family and friends at no cost. Our congregation provides the stamps, while the Prison Ministry supplies the stationery, helping those who are incarcerated stay connected with their loved ones.

Faith in Action provides a wide range of resources to individuals and families in our community, including assistance with food, clothing, and other basic needs. St. Thomas supports this ministry by collecting food donations, which are delivered weekly to the Faith in Action Food Pantry. If you would like to contribute, a donation box is always available in the back of the Parish Hall for nonperishable food items.

Our Pastoral Care Committee provides compassionate support to those who are unable to attend church regularly. They visit members in their homes and assisted living communities, offering encouragement, prayer, and fellowship. They also bring Communion to those who are unable to worship with us in person, helping them remain connected to our church family.

Our Backpack Program partners with Feeding Southwest Virginia to provide local students with bags of nutritious food during the school year. Volunteers play an important role by picking up and unloading food deliveries, packing the food into bags, and preparing them for distribution to students, helping ensure children have access to meals beyond the school day.

The Isaiah 117 House provides a safe, welcoming place for children who are waiting to enter foster care, offering comfort and stability until a foster family is found. Each year, our church hosts a lemonade stand featuring homemade lemonade and baked goods. All proceeds from this event are donated directly to Isaiah 117 House to help support the children and the important work they do.

Each year during the Virginia Highlands Festival, St. Thomas hosts our annual Festival Luncheons. For two days during the festival, we serve homemade quiches, a fresh salad bar, desserts, and beverages to guests. Every meal purchased helps support our outreach ministries, with all proceeds going directly to the outreach programs supported by St. Thomas.
